One major crowdy market next to the Odaw River at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Accra has caught raging fire.
In a video coverage of the scene, the fire has intermittently swept through parts of the market leaving goods and stalls of most market women and shop owners in flames and deep smokes.
The cause of the fire is not disclosed. However, A crowd was seen gathered before burnt shops at the sight of the outbreak, others capturing the scene on their mobile phones.
According to eye witnesses, the fire broke out at 1:00am, this dawn and had constantly blazed for hours.
Owners of shops (Pedestrian Shopping Mall), market women have been reported to be in shock while others lost consciousness recalling their loss on their huge investments.
Some took to howling and wailing after losing belongings and valuable items from the outbreak.
Meanwhile, the Police and Firefighters from the Fire Service have converged at the horrific scene to quit the fire.
It was recounted that personnel from the Fire Service called in 10 other cars to quench the blazing fire after a cylinder exploded and got the fire to spread in other parts of the market.
Fortunately, no deaths or injuries have been recorded yet capitals, properties, shops of persons have been burnt to ashes.
