2020 ELECTIONS: ‘GOVERNANCE WITH HONESTY, NOT SLANGS’ – MAHAMA ‘SLAMS’ AKUFFO-ADDO OVER UNFULFILLED PROMISES

Presidential candidate for the major opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has jabbed the president over incompetence in his just-ending first-term administration.
According to him, Prez. Akuffo-Addo has been unable to fulfill some campaign promises made in 2016 before he was elected as president.
Speaking to part supporters at Navrongo,the Upper East Region on Tuesday, November 27, 2020, the former president explained that the Akuffo-Addo-led Administration has utterly proved nothing of a reflection on his policy statements to Ghanaians.
However,Mr. John Mahama ignited some campaign promises made by the president in 2016, saying that the ruling government pledged of not borrowing funds when voted for to govern the country.

He subsequently said ‘…Before the election, He (Prez.Akuffo-Addo) said all kinds of sweet talks. But what he didnt realise is that, slangs are not used to govern a country; it is hard work, honesty…’
While both parties debate policies out ahead of the come general elections on December 7, President Akuffo Addo in one of his campaign tours at the Mallam Atta Market, asked traders to access, analyse his delivery of works to Ghanaians to vote for him massively.
This year’s elections is seen as a keen and competitive one as the immediate past Mahama Administration is contesting with the incumbent NPP government to regain or retain power respectively. All will be dependent on Ghanaians as they go to exercise their franchise.
