Dear Master Adu Baah Charles,

You have been an outstanding S.R.C president since you took over from Master Kelvin Saah. The Duty Bound Administration has actually worked for the progress of KNUST students. In these hard times, it seems the Duty Bound Administration has forgotten its’ duty. I keep asking myself why the Duty Bound Administration has become silent about sensitive issues bothering the entire KNUST students.

The motto of the KNUST SRC is; *”*EDUCATION IN FREEDOM*”. Master Adu Baah Charles, are you aware that students are not enjoying that freedom in education in these hard times? Students are actually forced to do things out of their convenience. Master Adu Baah Charles, you are the mouthpiece of the student populace and we would want you to channel our grievances to management.
In this period of the covid – 19 pandemic, students are being troubled with assignments and quizzes from lecturers.

Lecturers have even forgotten the fact that some students do not have smart phones, in poor network coverage’s and they can’t get access to anything online.
The annoying part of it is the *KNUST Virtual Classroom* that has been created. It has a lot of technical hitches that hasn’t been solved yet by UITS.

Most students are unable to log into the VClass yet lecturers keep bothering students to submit assignment on that platform. And are not considering any other stream of submissions.

The challenges students are going through with all these stressful assignments and quizzes from lecturers is very alarming and causing emotional and psychological trauma more than this pandemic. I can boldly say that in this period of the COVID-19 pandemic, management is not helping the students rather punishing us.

Is management aware some students have to hustle in this period of pandemic for their daily bread? Let’s think about students who must help parents at their farms and stores. KNUST Management must adhere to it’s own core values.
*Diversity and equal opportunity for all Students (Not Some)*.
What are we seeing in this period of covid-19 pandemic?

*Leadership in innovation Technology (Not poor accessibility)*.

*Integrity and Stewardship of Resources (every student of KNUST is a resource and a stakeholder)*.

If management of KNUST says students are basically going to be assessed based on 3 to 5 assignment for each course. I’m studying 9 courses this semester. 5 × 9 = 45. Its means I have 45 assignments to submit in 1 month. *Are students the cause of COVID-19?*

Is management aware the stress we are going through in this hard times?
What are we students seeing in this period of covid- 19 pandemic from management?

Over countless times some students have made complaints that the online class will serve as stumbling block to the perfect grading of students especially when not all of us are involved. The number of students who have missed the submission dates required of them cannot be numbered.

Please we call on you and your able executives to be up and doing. The only way this cry of the students can be heard is when you take this matter up and speak out the truth. We would want to hear from you as soon as possible.

I’m Festus Akwasi Boakye a second year student studying Bsc. Agribusiness Management.
